The OptaJoke Fail Whale

Twitter is used by footballers for some great things; giving away signed shirts, talking to fans and for announcing their retirement (ahem…Robbie Savage).

What’s even better is that it’s also used by footballers to do stupid things; Ryan Babel got fined for tweeting a picture of Howard Webb in a United shirt, Glen Johnson used it to go on a tirade against Paul Merson and Danny Gabbidon briefly quit after “accidentally” criticising West Ham fans support.

Let’s take a look at some of the latest things that footballers have said on Twitter:

Palace striker gets confused by fog…

I’m not entirely sure it was the lack of fog that stopped it from being hot…

Arsenal goalkeeper in Fantasy Football apology…

To be honest Wojciech, it’s not the worst thing an Arsenal Goalkeeper did last week for people’s fantasy teams…given that Fabianski got injured for the rest of the season.

Robbie Savage may not be able to spell certain words, but he can nail others…

That’s funny because by that logic he must be really good at spelling the word ‘yellow’ as he’s had a fair few cards that colour over the years.
